Why does my Whisperflo keep tripping my circuit breaker??

My Pentair Whisperflo WFE-8 Pump is tripping my circuit breaker.  Pool guy says pump needs to be replaced.

Been going on for 2 weeks now.   Says impeller stopped working.   HP is 2.0 S.F. HP = 2.60

I can send you photos if you need to see the pump.   Does it need replacement?  How do I know?

If so, what will motor cost vs. what will a new entire pump cost?

Hi, Angie01 - A few thing can cause a breaker to trip which is explained in our Pool Pump Trips Breaker / GFCI Blog. If the issue is not the breaker, the pump motor will need to be replaced.

The Whisperflo WFE-8 is still available or you can replace just the motor and tune up kit which will be the Century B2843 motor and the Whisperflo Tune Up Kit - GOKIT32 or GOKIT32SALT.  You can click the hyperlink to view the product cost.
