Had a hybrid nylon/steel brush but took a lot of scrubbing to get any algae spots off of the walls. This one works with one swipe!

I highly recommend this brush. I have algae on the sides and bottom of the pool and this brush does a great job cleaning it off. Nice and heavy weight to it.

I needed a heavy duty brush to clean stains in my pool. With this brush The stains just brushed away. Being as large as it is makes brushing the pool done in a matter of minutes.
