Hi Ron, Yes the discharge port can be rotated to the 90 degree position or horizontal position.

  Thanks for your reply. I know I might have to remove the pump impeller to change the direction to 90 degrees, if this is how this pump works would I need a new seal or would the original one work since it is new? Thanks,

    Hi Ron, Yes you will need to remove the impeller but you can use the shaft seal that comes with the pump without a problem. We put together his How-To Article on How to Rotate Your Pool Pump Discharge Port to Horizontal which goes through the exact step by step process you will take to accomplish this.

Hi, Derek. This pump can generate a max flow rate of 88 GPM at 24 Total Dynamic Head (TDH).

Hello Joseph.  The Pool Pump Shaft Seal Assembly - PL1592 is the correct pump seal for the Above Ground Pool Pump 12730.  Attached please find the Above Ground Pool Pump - PureLine PL15, Blue Wave, Dohenys, Splash, Stark USA, Accu Flow exploded parts diagram for reference.
