1.5 century motor on a heyward power flo pump hums but wont start.
is this part correct this issue? if not what is need it to repair this motor? the pump is about 3 yrs old. I chk the connections and its got good power to it,

A motor humming and not starting could be caused by either a bad start capacitor or just the motor being ceased. The best way to know for sure is to have it inspected by either a licensed pool contractor or a motor shop. In order to cross reference that capacitor we would need the specific motor model or part number.
