Hello Doug, Yes the spider gasket is available by itself. It is called the Diverted Gasket (271148)

Hello,
I have a Praher Multiport Valve that is leaking some water to the waste port when running on recirc or filter. It says SM-20 on it but when I tried to find a repair kit I noticed there are different version like SM-20-2 and SM-20-3. I am not sure which one mine is. I am guessing I need APCK1069S. Could you please help clarify?

Yes this kit would be the correct tune up kit for either the SM-20, SM-20-2 or SM-20-3.

I do not see the spring in the picture of the items. Does this kit include the spring for the handle?

Hello Nick, If you look closely at the picture for the APCK1069S PacFab Multiport Valve 2" w/Spring O-Ring Kit, the spring is in the middle of all those o-rings, it is included in this kit.

Is an install manual or directions included and is adhesive needed to secure gaskets?

Procedure:
1) Turned power off to pump
2) Removed the screws on the top of the multi-port device and removed top
3) removed all the old gaskets and placed them on a board so we knew which needed replacement and in what sequence.
4) Compared the old gaskets to the new gaskets to ensure they would be a 100% replacement
5) used the gasket/seal lubricant to ensure they made a good seal
6) replaced the old gaskets with the new ensuring that they were placed in the correct position..not upside down.
7) tightened the screws part way to ensure the cover was correctly positioned and proceeded to tighten the screws in an opposite sequence.
8) turned the pump back on and tested both the pool port and backwash ports to ensure they all worked correctly turning the pump off during the switchover between pool and backwash port.
No more leaks on the backwash port when the pump is in normal operation

Pros: Included more than I expected.
Cons: A diagram of which which side of the spider gasket goes up would be nice.
After trying to replace only the spider gasket on my Pentair SM20-2, was looking for the complete rebuild kit at a local pool store. No luck. Found this as the least expensive option vs. buying all the parts separately. My kit came with 3 separate "head" gaskets. The only items not included are new plastic washers (for between the valve handle and the body, and the spring and body). I'm looking forward to replacing the intake/outflow gaskets when I take my filter apart for the year.

All the required parts were included in the kit..including the gasket lubricant which made the task of replacing the gasket set and spring very simple.
