V-Green 270 User Interface - 2520652-001

Benefits of adding an optional V-Green 270 user interface with the V-Green 165 motor

  • Ability to conduct field troubleshooting (i.e., view FAULT codes and real time operating parameters).
  • Ability to set a pump running schedule based on a real clock setting (i.e., must input actual time which then determines pump start and stop times).
  • Ability to remotely mount the V-Green 270 user interface (provides easy access of user interface depending on pump location) using the User Interface Offboard Mounting Kit V-Green - 2512723-001.
  • Ability to configure prime speed and prime duration. If power is connected to the V-Green 165 motor, pressing any of the following buttons referred to in section 2 could result   in the motor starting. Failure to recognize this could result in personal injury or damage to equipment. v 5
  • Ability to configure freeze protection temperature.
  • Ability to view actual speed and power of the V-Green 165 in real time.
  • Ability to adjust the V-Green 165 motor speed in 25 RPM increments (to fine tune flow for certain pool installations).
  • Battery backup to store time setting

Dear Sir/Madam, I have a V-Green 165 motor that has freeze protection that comes on at 39 deg. I would like to adjust this setting to better fit our environment. Can this V-Green User Interface be used for this purpose. My user manual says it should work. Please confirm. Moreover, are there other options for adjusting the freeze temperature setting? Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, Hogni

Hi Hogni, The V-Green 270 User Interface (2520652-001) will allow you to configure freeze protection temperature. The User Interface does includes the instructions to configure the additional features it provides.

I have a century V green 165 pump. I want to add a clock function. I understand that I need to add a V 270 interface. How difficult is it to hook up the V green 270? What is involved to adding this unit?

Hi Joe, You will need this interface. It's considered a DIY item so it's not hard to install, it will come with installation instruction.

I can't seem to find an on-line user/installation manual for this product. Would you please provide a link to a manual that describes it's detailed capabilities and installation instruction? Thanks

I don't see a picture for this unit. I have an ECM16SQU. How does this fit or attach to it? I can't seem to find this unit separate from the ECM270 motor. Please advise. Thanks!

I have a Pentair SuperFlo 342000 -- which appears to be just a rebranded VGreen 165. Is there any reason to believe that this 270 User Interface would not work on that pump?

Yes, so that interface screws onto the ECM16SQU variable speed motor.

Remote mount interface

Written on 7/30/2021 by Guest

Do not need remote mounting kit.
1. Buy 22 gauge 4 conductor cable in length desired.
2. Remove 270 unit from motor.
3. Mount interface on 2 x 6 board. Use the existing rubber seal plate.
4. Cut wire and strip conductors. Use existing plugs.
5. Attach plug to wire.
6. Plug into motor and interface then replace covers.

After torrential rains original one on pump failed, full of water.

1. remove 4 screws holding original controller
2. remove single screw/plate with controller connector
3. remove plug/wire from original controller
4. reverse instructions to install, new

Very, very easy and worked first time.
