It also decreases the build-up of rain, snow and leaves. Made of 16-gauge vinyl, this 4' x 8' air pillow is tough enough to stand up to winter's cold. Features plastic grommets on two corners so you can secure them across your pool with string or rope.

I have an above ground pool and I've been told that I need to use an air pillow underneath my winter pool cover. What does the air pillow do?

An air pillow helps to attract freezing water as it expands and relieves the pool walls from the stress of water expansion.Air pillows also help reduce excess water, leaves, debris and snow on your winter cover.

I read that pool pillows help keep pool walls from damage over freezing weather conditions. I got the pillows to do just that. I have since read that the pillows do not have to be fully filled with air to be beneficial. They just have to be able to keep the winter cover from sinking in the pool.

The fist pillow that lasted all winter long. Easy to install and going to buy another one from InyoPool for next year and put two under the winter cover. To get the water to one area to pump out easer.

I bought 3 and two are fine one appears to have a slow air leak, i checked at the opening where air goes in and it appears sealed properly i had already placed them in my pool and put the cover on, the other two are holding up well

I bought this to float under my winter cover. It's a great product, easy to inflate, lightweight and easy to move, even though it's a large pillow. The only thing I think would make it better is being able to anchor it because when the wind blows, it moves to one side of my pool; even under the cover.

Pros: better than an old tire tube.
This Pool Air pillow is working great. Have a number of trees and leaves have been falling all winter. The pillow is keeping the pool cover afloat and able to clean out the old leaves with no problem.

Bought two pillows--one did not hold air--deflated. Used these under winter cover attached with rim clips and winter cover seal. Wind tore everything off and all my winterization efforts failed for this year?

Cons: Still some loss because 20% of these still won't hold air rerliably
These are the first of the blue 4x8 or 4x4 pillows I have bought that actully hold air for more than one season. Prior to this I was buying new ones all the time for my pool.
