The liner pad is roughly an 1/8" thick. You would not need to use both the liner guard and floor pad. The liner pad is more of a foam material where the liner guard is more of a felt material. The liner guard is a little more durable against protecting the liner against objects like pebbles and stones. The liner pad is a little thicker but not as durable as the liner guard.
