I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

Whenever I move this handle on valve spo715xr50 which way do I rotate it?

Whenever you are moving the handle on this or other vari-flo valves you first must always make sure that the pump is off, then rotate the handle clockwise until it arrives in the position that you need. Continue this process when using the valve.

I broke the handle on my valve. I am ordering a replacement. Is there any way to adjust the setting while I wait for it to arrive?

Hi, Unfortunately without a handle there is no other way to change the valve position.

The handle on the valve broke. What are the parts I need to replace? Is replacing only the handle and the plastic washer just underneath the handle sufficient or I should also replace the top half of the valve assembly?

Hi Mike, I would recommend replace the Handle (SPX0715F), Non-Metallic Bearing (SPX0710Z16) and the O-ring w/ Teflon Seal. If the o-rings and spider gasket have not been replaced lately I would recommend getting the SP715 Multi Port Valve Tune Up Kit (NO SPRING).

Was a simple install. Removed the two way valve. Bought some pvc from the local hardware store and cut some new connections for the new valve.
The multivalve was plug and play into the filter and just connected the new pvc parts. Works great and the new valve has a window so I can see the water being expelled during backwash. Once I see clean water I know I am done. Much better than the original two way valve. Delivery was earlier than expected when ordering. All in all a pretty simple diy project.
