What problems will I experience shortening the cord if any?

It is very common in the industry to shorten or cut the cord and we have never ran into any issues.

What is the minimum wattage transformer?
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/11/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

This light requires a minimum of a 50 watt transformer, the transformer should be an outdoor rated swimming pool light transformer. We typically recommend our PX100 100 Watt Transformer by Intermatic.

What problems will I experience installing this in an existing wet niche where I am replacing a Pentair SAM's light 150 watt model T856660?
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/11/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The Jandy WaterColors light fits into the same wet niche as the Pentair SAM Light so there should be no issues here.

Will this give comparable light to the existing SAM's light?
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/11/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Yes this light does give comparable light output to the SAM and the operational cost of this light is much less since it is LED.
