Does the pool need to be drained to below the lights to replace these units or can the water be left in place please?

Hi, Colin. The pool does not have to be drained when installing or replacing these units.

Does this need a transformer? How much for the transformer?

Hi. Yes, a transformer is required for this product. The transformer size is based on the total amount of lights you're using. A 100 Watt Transformer - PX100 can power 3 of these lights.
