No, you do not need an automation system to control your Pentair IntelliBrite light. The light can be controlled by a basic light switch. For instructions on how to wire it to a wall light switch, refer to page 1 of the Pentair Intellibrite Owner & Installation Manual

Hi there I have an older Pentair Spectrum Amerlite (SAM) p/n 619408, can I change it over to something like this?
