Karlean, Yes, this is an above ground pool pump. Please note that this is a single speed pump. The one that you are replacing is a 2-speed.

Hi you will need this 1 HP Optiflo Dual Speed Replacement Motor. You will also need a Sta-Rite Optiflo Seal Kit when you replace your motor. We put together this Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which you may find helpful when you tackle this project.
