Screwdriver, Flat head screw driver
The steps that actually comes with the part are perfectly clear and straight forward.
1) unscrew the three Phillips head screws
2) use your flat head screwdriver to pop off the old cover if needed\
3) lift off the entire display off the motor, pull straight up
4) replace the plug gasket and motor the three washers
Now reverse steps #1 - #4 and you are back in business

Exactly what was needed to ensure the display was not damaged by the sun... Easy to install... Of course Pentair is very, very proud of their part as the price is very steep for as simple as it is. However, INYO had the best prices on the net.
