CAN EITHER THE sta-rite filter 160350 or the 160362 pool filter be suitable for a 12000 gallon pool running 6 hours per time period every 24 hours? The pool is used about 2 to 3 times per month. We are located in Scottsdale's High Sonoran desert 2600 ft above sea level with only a moderate degree of air born dust... George VH vantech7@gmail.com

Hi George, Yes, either model will be sufficient for your pool based on the info provided. You will get more filtration square footage with the 160350.

I'm trying my best to get the filter cap over the O ring and sit evenly before adding the tightening screw. I can't seem to get the filter cap to lay even. I've tried silicone spray and no luck. What am I doing wrong or how do you get the filter cap to sit evenly on the bottom half? I have a PentairRp 150

Hi, It sounds like the o-ring might need to be replaced or it's not installed correctly, that is the only thing that will keep the filter top from sitting properly.

The main reason why your Sta-Rite RP 150 would leak between the top and bottom is a bad body o-ring. The body o-ring for the RP filter is part number 4652-03.

Hello Kathleen.  The Pentair Pool Products Lid part number 178745Z is the replacement lid for the Sta-Rite Posi-Clear RP Series Cartridge Filter 150RP.  Pentair acquired Sta-Rite and continues to manufacture/market pool products under that name.   Lid, 150, 200 sq. ft. filter - 178745z   Attached please find an exploded parts diagram for the Sta-Rite Posi-Clear RP Series cartridge Filter.  This can be used as a reference for all available Sta-Rite Posi-Clear RP Series parts.    Sta-Rite Posi-Clear RP Series
