Is the savi melody dimmable? Can the savi melody be used in the bottom of a pool 4ft deep shooting up on the floor?
Reply
The SAVI MELODY is not dimmable. You can put these in the floor of the pool but keep in mind that you need 14 inches of straight 1.5" pipe going into the back of the wall fitting to accomodate for the Melody. After the 14 inches of straight pipe you can use a 90 or whatever fittings you need at that point. The same applies if you are installing in the wall of the pool. Can I put a SaVi LED Light into an existing return jet. How does that work.
Reply
It doesn't. These lights are not intended to work with existing return jets in your water lines. They use a wall fitting very similar to the return jet which has piping behind it to take wire up to a transformer. This is something you do when installing your pool.

I am looking at lighting a pool that is 34'X14' and i am curious on how well the SAVI Melody would light this size pool. I am looking at getting 2-3 lights and would prefer the 2 lights if possible. Any help on how well these lights will illuminate the water area would be greatly appreciated.
-Thanks

These lights give a 180 degree beam so would do a good job lighting your pool. Also for your pool you would need three shining away from the house or primary viewing area.

(5 out of 5 stars) Looks Great
Reviewed By: Nathan H. ()
Pros: price, ease of installation, bright colors, sturdy/high quality
Cons: They occasionally become unsynchronized which can be fixed easily by turning them off for 5-10 seconds and then back on.
I love these lights, especially at this price. They look amazing. I bought 3, two for the pool and one for the spa. It lights the entire area very well. The colors are nice. Installation couldn't be easier, no bonding needed as you would with a traditional light fixture, no potting needed either.

(5 out of 5 stars) Great Fiber optic to LED light upgrade
Reviewed By: Pool guy from Austin, TX ()
Pros: Great bright color, nice effects,
Cons: Installation had an issue
This light was used to replace a noisy dull lighted Fiber optic system with a huge ugly box that encased the light. It was almost a super easy upgrade until the light did not glide into the curved conduit coming from the pool. It needed approximately 12" of no or a very gradual slope to easily slide in. I read an article with a video on the internet and it walked me through the process and voilà it works great - Highly recommend it!
