Can this pool cleaner be used on an above ground pool?

According to the manufacturer, none of the Dolphin cleaners including the 99996343-DX4 Dolphin Sprite Plus Pool Cleaner can be used on above ground pools; they are for inground pools only. AquaBot makes a couple of robotic above ground pool cleaners. Please see the NE357 Pool Rover Jr. Robotic Pool Cleaner for a flat bottom pool or the Pool Rover Above Ground Pool Cleaner for a sloped pool floor.

My husband and I have been looking for a new pool cleaner for a while now. Our Polaris just wasn't doing his job whatsoever. My husband would have to come behind it and clean additionally. He's a perfectionist and wants the best products for the best value so he began researching for that combination. He came across the Dolphin Sprite Plus and felt like this would be perfect. We've had it for 3 weeks now and our pool has never been cleaner (seriously). The first time we put it in the pool, it left "rows" on the bottom of the pool where it was pulling up the dirt. We LOVE it!!

Pros: Quick and accurate
We love our Dolphin Pool cleaner and are the envy of all our pool owning neighbors......They all call her Hazel and would love to own a Maid like her!!!!!

Pros: does not miss an area on the floor
Cons: does not climb high enough to clean the waterline well
This is the second Dolphin robotic cleaner I have owned and it works better then the first one(Diagnostic model 7 yrs old). It does not seem to climb as high on the waterline but overall it does a great job.
