Pros: easy to use
Cons: not well designed
Only complaint is the cap. For starters the cap is black when everything else is white. The cap also is just loose push on. The mold is not trimmed so there are nipples that keep the cap from fitting tightly allowing sand to come out. Should have been designed with a white screw on cap. Duh

Pros: Much easier than filling the stairs with sand.
Cons: A little tricky to get in place.
I have had these in for a season. Definately makes removing and placing the stairs easier. They can be a bit tricky to lock into place, but nothing too difficult. Maybe the problem was I had to stand on the stairs to hold the stairs under water while my 12 y/o kid put the weights on. Two adults would work better. The directions say to fill with sand and water. I filled them with clean pea gravel, water, and a cup or so of bleach. Worked like a charm.
