Hi Mark we suggest the Universal Retro Fit Main Drain that works on all covers up to 10" diameter. The Retro Fit Main Drain Data Sheet shows how that drain is installed.

Hi, Jason. We will NOT be getting these back in since they have been discontinued. You can use the  AquaStar Universal Retro Fit Main Drain or the Paramount Round SDX Retrofit Main Drain Cover - Gunite or  Vinyl / Fiberglass.

Hello, no you do not have to drain the pool to install these. This one is no longer available and has been replaced with the Aquastar retrofit main drain cover part number A10RCFR101.
