How long is the piece that extends above the basket? I believe that somebody put the wrong (8 3/4" tall) basket in myy current pump (which says Jacuzzi Mgnum Force). When the current basket sits in the well, the basket opening sits at least 1/4' below the input feed. So, I feel like the 9" tall basket is actually the correct one for my unit.

Michael, The tab extends approx. an inch above the main body of the basket.
