(4 out of 5 stars) Works with Modification

Pros: Was easy to install
Cons: Required some tweaking.
Worked fine after several rebuilds. Had to add an extra washer on the main axle. Original ad 4 washers. This kit only had 2. Did not work correcty with 2 or 4 waters. 3 worked perfectly.
(4 out of 5 stars) Refurb Kit work great with some modification

Pros: Works great
Cons: Needed modification not explained in instructions
The refurb kit is easy to install and the instructions are clear. However, I did notice that my original kit had 4 washers under the main assembly on the axle to the base. The kit only had 2. I noticed that with only two, the rotating assembly would clip the valves as it went around. And with 4 washers the valves wouldn't completely close. So I settled with 3 washers and it works fine. But it took a few assembly and disassembly attempts to get this right.
(5 out of 5 stars) Caretaker Rebuild Kit

Pros: The only option
Cons: None really
The Polaris Caretaker is an excellent system, needs rebuilding about every 3-5 years here in AZ, but that is a long time running 10 hours a day, 365. The kit is easy to install, OEM, and well made. Polaris doesnt pack it very well though. Just dont take the rubber band off too early and let the watch fall apart. Wish it were cheaper. Other wise, outstanding product and inyo is fabulous.
