The ultra-popular RayVac pool cleaner used a design that required the use of a Jandy Energy Filter. Over time the complete Energy Filter does need to be replaced and this is the proper item you will require. For other applications, the Jandy 2888 Energy Filter works perfectly for pool systems that by-pass your main filter. The energy filter is also great to use for pool cleaners and booster pumps to prevent clogging. The energy filter is normally plumbed into your main pool filtration system in between your pool pump and pool filter.

What is the maximum flow rate? I want to use this between my pump and my salt water chlorinator, which is installed on a line without a filter. I want to be sure I don’t destroy this unit or mess up my pump by overloading it.

You will need to monitor the pressure gauge, when the needle reaches 20psi you will need to clean the filter in the Complete Energy Filter (No Valve) - 2888 The manufacturer does not list a specific gallons per minute rating for it.
