Hello I have a Laars Teledyne heater and my thermocouple looks like it is Deteriorate it it is not keeping pilot lit will this replacement work on This model?

Rob, The Pilot/Thermocouple Generator (W0036901) will work on the selected heaters, Teledyne/Jandy Laars Lite and Lite 2, Teledyne Laars/Jandy Series 2 ESG and Teledyne Laars Series 1 Millivolt Heaters. If you do not have one of these units, you can Zodiac at 1.800.822.7933 to find out if this part will work on your unit.

What milli voltage should my pilot generator be producing. I am getting a reading of 239 and I am wandering if that is not enough to open the gas valve.

Hi, Greg. This thermocouple should be generating 500-750 millivolts. A minimum of 500 MV is required to open the gas valve.
