This is the complete DE grid assembly used on the follwing Pentair, Purex, Pac-Fab and American Products 24 Sq. Ft DE filters.
The DE grids on the 24 Sq. Ft. filters measure 12" in length. This is the complete pre-assembled grid assembly which includes 8 DE grids, top manifild, bottom manifold, air relief strainer, extension and tie rod.
What is the total height of the assembly? Is this a replacement for Heldor ClearFlo 24 grid?

Yes this is the DE Grid Assembly Replacement for the Heldor ClearFlo 24 Pool Filter. I have the dimensions on the individual grids and they measure 12" tall. I am working on getting the dimensions for the complete assembly and will email those to you shortly.

I have a brand new grid ass'y for a nautilis NS-24 filter. It looks like its not precoating correctly and when I vacuum dead algae its going thur back to the pool. I drained the unit and there's no earth on there's no earth on the leaves even though the unit was just precoated yesterday. I also have noticed no increase in pressure after vacuuming.

I have a very old Nautilus stainless de filter which I suspect is a NS24 or equivalent. The grid height is 12". The overall height to the top of the top manifold is 16". Will the 192324 grid assembly fit? or is it taller?

Hi, The NS24 24sq.ft Gris Assy (192324) will be the correct replacement for your model filter.

My new filter assembly (purchased from you) came with a small round screen filter that has threads as if it is to be threaded onto the filter but there is no place to screw it onto. There is a "plastic nipple" on the top of the filter that looks like may be the place for it to be attached to but this nipple has no threads. Please send photos or directions showing me how this is supposed to be attached.

Hi Jack, We do not have installation instructions, the Screen Assembly snaps onto the nipple onto the manifold.
