I installed a new pump Jacuzzi Magnum Force 2.Is drawing too much water causing a build up to much excessive pressure in my filter. Will this smaller diameter impeller work with my pump

Hi, Charles. Installing a smaller size impeller will reduce water flow.

where do you measure the thickness of the impeller my pump is 1 hp but the impeller dimensions are 4.750 by .625 same as a 2 hp impeller

Taking the measurements can be tricky to match up, instead Could you send us a few photos of your pump and motor? Please take a close up shot of the motor label as well as a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump.
