No this nut does not fit the Jacuzzi Landslide LS70 filter, you would require this Jacuzzi LS70 Landslide Nut

do you turn mounting nut clockwise or counter clockwise to loosen nut when standing behind the motor

Hi, Becky. Standing behind the motor you will turn the ring counterclockwise to remove the Mounting Nut.
