I have an Anthony pool VA-52 how do I determine if the o-ring for the tank is an 18 inch or 22 inch? Additionally can I purchase just the filter cartridges for the filter or do I need to buy the entire assembly?

Hi Mario, The VA-52 filter uses the 22" Tank O-ring (17434), you can purchase the grids individually which can found via the Anthony Apollo D.E. Filter Parts page.

Is this O-ring shaped to fit in the tank groove or is the cross section round.

This o ring looks to be rounded at the cross-section.

Is this o-ring v-shaped, 3 sided or is it round?

Hi. This is an o-ring, completely round. The only filter tank o-ring we have that is triangular shaped is P/N 195008

45+ year old O-ring...

Old Anthony filter. Installed in '75.
Thus, old "O" ring was hard (like space shuttle cold 0-rings...)
Thus, it needed replacing as was dribble leaking.

Almost can't believe OEM parts still available and delivered timely at door!

Were these instructions helpful?
