I had a motor mounting plate on my Hayward Super II pool pump spring a leak. After removing the motor and the mounting plates, I discovered the plate was covered with hard water buildup and tried to scrub it clean. Time after time I would assemble the pump back together and it would leak even worse. I finally discovered the old plate was warped a little bit. I ended up ordering a new plate and I was back in business. I was a little hesitant to do this on my own, but I found Inyopools through You tube and the internet that it wasn't really that difficult.

My old one was brittle. Check your old motor housing plate diffuser and impeller parts carefully when taking out old motor. New parts fit perfectly as described.

I only give the motor mount replacement 4 stars. It is an exact replacement for the original. BUT, the old one partially melted when the motor got hot. A better replacement would have metal in place or plastic where the motor actually bolts to the housing. This will prevent melting and potential angular displacement of the motor.
