Hi, Richard. It would be easier if you provide the model number of the valve. If you don't have the model number you can provide photos of the valve of dimension of the gasket to include outside and inside diameter and the center ID and OD.

Have a PacFab/Pentair DE multiport valve and am sure this is correct part number. Old gasket was a $%ITCh to get out. Now that I'm getting close to installing, does the wide/deep part of the gasket go into channel or the shallower side and does it need to be glued down? Mine was glued like crazy!!

Hi, Paul. The side with the rounded raised ridges goes up and the new gasket will have to be glued in.

The gasket I keep finding and ordered doesn't have a raised/rounded top to it. The one I removed did, but this one doesn't. One I ordered is Penair 272409 and has two raised sides, one much taller than the other side.
