This is a water slinger gasket which attaches to the pump motor shaft on 48Y and 56Y frame square flange and 56J frame threaded motors. Used on the Hayward Max-Flo, Super Pump, and Super II pumps, the Pentair / Purex Quietflo, Aquatron, and A & AH pumps, the Waterace RSP series, and others. Is the "slinger" #12 in the super II parts diagram, (part no 5110-20 mfg # SPX0125) on all models?

The water slinger is the same on all of the Super II pumps 5110-20 is the correct water slinger.

A new century 2 HP 56J threaded shaft motor has what looks to be a slinger washer already on the shaft. Do I need to replace it with the g-71-2 or add it or just use the one on the shaft? Anxiously awaiting your response.

Tony, You can keep the existing slinger that comes with the motor.

This simple little rubber washer was the hardest piece of my pump rebuild to track down. I could not find it myself but the Inyo Pool staff identified the correct part with no trouble. The older version had split and come off the motor shaft.

Inyo Pools had this hard to find water slinger gasket that protects my pump motor from any water leakage on the pump shaft. Couldn't find it in any local stores.

Thank-you InYo Pools to your staff for your help and knowledge in finding us parts to rebuild our in-groud pool pump. Your staff did a great job letting us know all the things we would need, part wise, including great step by step instructions with illustrations on taking pump apart and putting it back together. The kids and family are happy once more !!!
