Do I need to order a diverter gasket with this valve body, or is it already installed?

Hi David, this valve body does not include the spider gasket which is part number 4600-1148, and will need RTV silicone to glue into place.

Is the spider gasket included? If so, is it glued in like the OEM?

Hi Jeff, the spider gasket does not come with this valve body. The part number for it is 4600-1148. Here is a guide that we put together called "How to Replace a Spider Gasket on a Multiport Valve" that may assist.

Pros: The money I saved.
Cons: none.
The Spider gaskets are glued in place in these valve bodies. So replacing just the gasket is tricky at best. Pentair doesn't make the body of this valve available separately. So just replacing the gasket requires replacing the whole valve! Replacing the whole valve with one from INYOPOOLS would have saved me plenty. But INYOPOOLS makes this body available separately saving me HUNDREDS! And it was a perfect fit! It was exactly like the one I took out, except for the new spider gasket that is. And it was very easy.
