When you install the MX8 back in the pool be sure to use the Flow Gauge and set the suction to the number 3. Also, you would want to inspect the R0525100 MX8 DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY to make sure the gears are not worn down.

You didn't answer my question on the MX8. I replaced the direction control device side B and the MX8 is moving slow or not at all. Is there an adjustment screw to make it move faster? It is only 2 years old and I don't think I should being having trouble with it.

There is no adjustment screw to increase the speed of the MX8. The speed is determined by the flow of water being pulled through the cleaner.

Pros: Quick delivery, easy to install
We have had our MX8 for about three years now and the Direction Control Device on both sides stopped working. Inyo pools had the part in stock and we were able to get it quickly.
