Product Description

INYO's solar heating system is a high quality polypropylene panel system available in 4'x10' panel equipped with 2" headers. Due to shipping and handling constraints, Piping for the system is to be purchased locally. To determine the number of panels needed for an operation, you must first calculate the surface area of your pool. Next, you would then purchase panels for 50-60 % of the pool surface area. For Example: A 400 sq. ft. surface area pool would use 6 - 4 x 10 solar collectors for a total panel area of 240 sq. ft.

Please Note: One (1) System Kit is required for EACH complete solar panel system.

How the system works...

INYO's solar panels are generally mounted on one's roof however, they are also capable of being attached to a ground rack. Using the pool pump, water is circulated through solar panels to heat your water. Pool water is heated in the high performance solar panels and returned to the pool through your existing piping.

I am replacing 5 fafco 4x10 solar panels on my roof---will these install with just removing old and replace with new or will I need any additional hardware. All my mounting hardware is good, so can I just change old for new?

yes your old panels and the replacement panels are the same dimensions so the hardware should interchange.

I have an in ground pool. How do I determine how many square feet of panels are required to heat my pool efficiently? Is there a valve of some kind to stop the flow if the input temperature of the water reaches a certain temperature? I am looking at mounting the panels on a hillside adjacent to my pool. I live in Southern California.

Hi Bryan, The rule of thumb is half the amount of solar panels vs. the square footage of your pool. So if you have a 16' x 32' pool (512 Sq. Ft) you would need 256 Sq. Ft. of solar panels. We do carry a pool solar controller and valve which will accomplish what you are speaking of in regards to stopping the flow if your temperature reaches a certain point.
