Product Description

INYO's solar heating system is a high quality polypropylene panel system available in 4'x10' panel equipped with 2" headers. Due to shipping and handling constraints, Piping for the system is to be purchased locally. To determine the number of panels needed for an operation, you must first calculate the surface area of your pool. Next, you would then purchase panels for 50-60 % of the pool surface area. For Example: A 400 sq. ft. surface area pool would use 6 - 4 x 10 solar collectors for a total panel area of 240 sq. ft.

Please Note: One (1) System Kit is required for EACH complete solar panel system.

How the system works...

INYO's solar panels are generally mounted on one's roof however, they are also capable of being attached to a ground rack. Using the pool pump, water is circulated through solar panels to heat your water. Pool water is heated in the high performance solar panels and returned to the pool through your existing piping.

Do I need to roll my 4' by 20' solar panel up every winter and put it away until summer? I live near Buffalo and we get lots of snow and cold temperatures during the winter months? It is a struggle to roll up the hard plastic at the end of each season. Could I just leave it flat on the plastic pipe frame I built for it on the ground? It would be totally disconnected and drained from all my inlet and outlet hoses.

Hi, Chuck Thum. You do not need to remove the panels in the winter. Winterizing procedures are available on page 61 of the Pool Solar Panel Installation Guide
