Looking to replace a Jandy 2 1/2 HP pump on my in ground pool is this a good choice. My primary pump for the pool is a Jandy 2 HP pump

This would not be a good choice since this is not a self priming pump. The reason a self priming pump is important for an inground pool is that the pump sits above the waterline and the pump needs to be able to pull the water from a location lower then the pump. I would suggest the 2 HP PureLine Prime Pump or the 3 HP PureLine Prime Pump as good options for your pool.

Spa pump had to be backordered but came in a relatively reasonable amount of time. Pump fit perfectly and with the motor being lighter than the pump I was replacing made it much easier to install. Runs quieter and works perfectly.
