Good afternoon. If you look closely on the side where the two ports are, the top one is to the pump, the bottom one is the return or to the filter. Hopefully the words " pump " and " return " are stamped into the plastic.

i have fnsp 36 pentair d.e. filter with 2 inch plumbing. is part #27507-200-000 generic pentair 2 inch side mount multiport valve. the right part for my filter?
