Product Description
**This Product is no longer available.**

The Solar-Breeze is the first solar powered robotic pool skimmer that autonomously navigates a pool daily, requiring only direct sunlight to operate. While removing leaves, grass, dog hair, dirt, insects and suntan oils, taking the toil out of skimming a pool and reducing strain on pool pumps and filtration systems. Two solar panels on top of the skimmer collect solar energy and store it in rechargeable NiMH batteries. Dual, turbine-like paddle-wheels propel the device as it continuously courses across the water and sends debris to the skimmer’s filter. Four wheels on the side panels allow the skimmer to turn when it encounters a pool wall and navigate along the perimeter where dirt often collects. An internal microprocessor monitors the skimmer’s power and prods it to “seek” sunny areas of the pool to recharge its solar batteries. When the unit enters the sunlight, the microprocessor slows down the rear paddle-wheel, allowing the solar panels to collect optimal energy. During the evening or cloudy conditions, the unit automatically reduces its speed to conserve energy while continuing to clean the pool. If the skimmer becomes clogged, it will automatically reverse the rotation of its paddle-wheels to dislodge the stubborn debris. The skimmer holds two 3" chlorine tablets in its chemical dispenser that slowly dissolve as the skimmer moves across the pool. The filter tray is removable and can be cleaned with a garden hose and filter media is replaceable with an ordinary paper towel.

The Solar-Breeze represents a major breakthrough in having a trouble free, clean, swim ready pool using a solar powered robot.

The Solar-Breeze unit is a “GREEN” device running 8 – 10 hours per day from solar power alone, saving on pool pump electric consumption and chlorine use.

The Solar-Breeze is an intelligent, solar powered, robotic swimming pool surface skimmer, combined with a Chemical Dispenser. It operates on internal storage batteries charged from direct sunlight. Requires NO external power source and costs ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to operate.

The Solar-Breeze unit is a full time pool cleaning robot, saving you Time, Energy & Money.

Questions customers have been asking about this product:
Q: My swimming pool only gets direct sunlight for 2-3 hrs per day because of surrounding trees. Does the Solarbreeze still work under the shade?

A: We spoke with the manufacture of the Solar Breeze and they stated that if you are only getting partial sunlight that you will probably need set the skimmer in your yard to recieve full sunlight for 24 hours once a week to get a full charge of the solar battery.

Q: Please answer the questions below:

A:

What are the dimensions of the debris holding tank and/or how often does it need to be cleaned out?

Collection tray is (11’ x 12”) total collection capacity of the Solar-Breeze is 2 time the capacity of a skimmer basket the swimming pool skimmer inlet.

Is it difficult to remove the debris holding tank in order to clean it?

No! It slides easily in and out the front of the Solar-Breeze.

How much is a replacement solar battery and what is its charge holding life expectancy?

The NiMh rechargeable batteries have a three year life expectancy.  The manufacture will replace them for $45.00.

Will it get caught up on a vacuum hose sitting in the pool at all times?

Yes, however, it will eventually reverse itself.  We do recommend removing the vacuum hose.

The Solar-Breeze does a good job collecting debris so the bottom of a pool rarely gets dirty.

You only need to run the vacuum hose one day every 4 weeks.
