I have 2G lights in my pool and want to put a 3G light in my spa. Will the 2G and 3G versions synchronize with one another?

According to the manufacturer, the 2G and 3G versions will not synchronize with one another. To have the lights on the same color rotation, you would need to have the same version in both your pool and spa.

What is the difference between the G3 and the G2 LED Light?

The G3 uses newer technology which gives you brighter light output than the G2, also the older technology on the G2 let's you see individual rays of light where the new technology on the G3 has a much smoother light output. For a color-changing LED light, how do I switch between the different settings with just a standard light switch?

The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off. This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.

Do you use a remote to change the colors on the Color Splash light?

An additional remote is not needed to operate the color splash light. You would turn on and off the light with your house light switch. Here is a link to the Color Splash manual of this light that provides diagrams and instructions on how to change each respective color.

What are the lumens (or light output) for the 2G and 3G compared to that of an average 500w bulb?

The LED lights are not rated in lumens. The 2G light is comparable to 275 watts and the 3G is comparable to 300 watts.

This is the second light I have purchased and installed myself. I think the first one failed due to a gasket leak after 3 years. My primary advise would be ALWAYS use a new gasket and do extensive water leak testing of light assembly to be sure there are no leaks.

I like the Color Splash G2. It adds a new dimension to swimming a or just being around the pool after dark. I let the bulb scroll thru all the colors. The blues and greens are definitely the best. The red and orange are streaky and don't "penetrate" the water as well. The on-line installation guide was excellent. Definitely buy a new gasket before beginning this project, so you can complete it without delay to run and get a gasket. It has given me more enjoyment of my pool!

Replaced my regular pool bulb with this Color Splash LED 2G pool lamp. Also replaced the lens & seal. Pool light went in easy, and works great. Not quite as bright as old bulb but has several other color selections and is less on energy. Found it cheapest here along with all other products. Free shipping made it am even better deal.

This is the greatest light money you can buy and with the LOW cost on your electric bill, it will actually pay for itself within 2 years! The different light color pattern from slow, soothing to dicso-fast Pulse, It is the life of ANY pool party to a relaxing evening around the pool!You can even "Lock" in your favorite color! I purchased my light on EBAY with INYOPOOL company as the sellers. While most other pool supply companies selling the EXACT light fron $450-$1200.00, INYO stands behind EVERYTHING they sell, and the staff may be a "Stranger to call, but a Friend" before you hang up! I was even advised to replace the gasket anytime the light housing is opened, which actually needed to be replaced, but to protect your New investment, and Safety reasons.

excellent pool light - colors are amazing. was very easy to install. make sure you order a new gasket whenever you switch out the light bulbs. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
