How much do these covers weigh? I live in a windy area and I'm looking for a heavy duty cover.

The in ground winter covers typically weigh between 25-35 pounds. If you live in a high wind area, I would recommend purchasing a safety cover that can be secured with anchors.

Every winter when I close my pool, my water tubes either leak or roll away. Is there anything else I can use?

I would recommend using the Aqua Bloks. The Aqua Bloks are made out of a composite material and are made to stay flexible down to 50°F below zero.
