24' Round Liner Guard
This new "Geo Textile" floor pad is the perfect way to protect your new pool liner against sharp objects, roots and even rocks. Liner Guard makes foam pool pad obsolete as it is impervious to almost any sharp object. The Liner Guard product is cut to size and seamed to fit your pool without any cutting or taping as with most foam products. I'm replacing my current liner. Is this padding needed if my pool foundation is sand?

It is not required not if you have any possible rocks or roots that will come up through the sand then the pad is a good idea.

Do you have to put sand down before installing this padding?
Will this padding stop grass from poking through the liner?

Hi. Yes, a sand base is required before installing the padding. It can stop grass from puncturing the liner.

Does the liner come up the side of the pool some.

Hi Robert, the Liner Guard does not come up the sides of the pool at all. If you get the pool cove you should lay the liner guard down first and add the pool cove on top of it. You may want to get something like our Wall Foam to help smooth out the walls and help your liner last a long time.
