How to do it..........


Pool Lighting Control, With A Wall Mounted Remote

  1. Replace the existing pool light switch with an XPS3 20 Amp Wall Switch.
  2. In the new remote switch location (s), install a single gang switch box, pulling in a hot and neutral wire from any convenient location. This is usually accomplished by pulling wire from an outlet nearby the new remote switch location (s).
  3. Install an XPT1, 1 Button Base Controller and set the Code Wheels to match the X10 PRO Switch.

Pool Lighting Control, With A Wireless Handheld, Keychain or Wall RF Remote

  1. Replace the existing pool light switch with an XPS3 20 Amp Wall Switch.
  2. Plug in a PAT01 RF Base Transceiver in a convenient outlet inside the home closer to the pool area for maximum performance.
  3. Select either the PHR03 Handheld Remote or PHR04 (water resistant) Keychain Remote or PHW04D Wireless Wall Transmitter).

*The buttons on the Remote (s) correspond with the Code Wheel numbers selected on the XPS3 Wall Switch.


Installation Options:

New Construction or Remodel

  1. Install an XPS2 240V Pump Switch in either your pool sub panel or a junction box.
  2. Place a XPMT1 Counter-top Mini-Timer (New Version XPMT4) in a convenient location inside the home and plug it into an electrical outlet.
  3. Set the clock on the Mini-Timer. Follow the included instructions and program ON/OFF times for your pool pump.

Pool Pump Control, Retrofit Existing

  1. Remove the existing mechanical timer from the timer housing.
  2. Install an XPS2 240V Pump Switch on a PTB01 Bracket .
  3. Mount the PTB01 Bracket in the existing box, making the appropriate wire connections.

• The Mini Timer can be set for up to 64 events times per day, allowing the pump (s) to be turned off during peak times while accommodating other client “at home" times.

• Two XPS2 240V Pump Switches can be installed in series for pools with both circulation pumps and cleaner pumps. Be certain not to exceed the 20 Amp rating of the first switch in series.
