What is the difference between an inline and offline chlorinator?

An inline chlorinator would be plumbed directly inline with the plumbing. For an existing pool, this would mean a section of pipe would need to be cut out to install the chlorinator. An offline chlorinator attaches to existing plumbing by chlorinator tubing (holes would be drilled into existing pipe to attach the tubing.)

We purchased your inline pool chlorinator and found it to be a great replacement. It is easier to open to fill and runs better than the one we had. This chlorination system is better because it is so easy to open and has all the features of the Hayward CL200 at a better price! I would highly recommend this product instead of any other chlorination system for your in line and in ground pool with 1 1/2" water lines! Easy to install! We replaced a Hayward CL200 with this system, we bought $7 in supplies at plumbing store and now we have no more leaks and this works great!

Bought this to replace what i thought was a broken in-line chlorinator but the union connections were not the same as the Hayward Chlorinator I was replacing, so I had to return

Pros: Takes hassle of trying to always adjust chlorine level.
Cons: See above review.
The only real problem I found is removing the cover to check and insert new tabs, is very difficult to remove without a strap wrench or other device.

Pros: reasonable price, quality material, easy install
This chlorinator was very easy to hook up. With the additional purchase of two 1 1/2 inch male adapters I was able to install unit in under 15 minutes. Material seems to be high quality and adjustment of chlorine is very easy and acurate. I am very satisfied with my short term use of this product with no problems or concerns to date.
