Hi Inyo Pool, My current pump is overheating and it is time to find a replacement. My current pump is an inground hayward single speed 1.5 HP with SF of 1.1 giving a total of 1.65 HP (very power hungry). This dual speed pureline should be a good fit. The question I have is - my current setup has a 2 inch PVC line. Can you comment on what additional parts I need besides the 1.5 inch union? Is there a kind of union that up convert 1.5 to 2 inch pipe?

Hi, Ben. The CMP 1.5" MIP, 1.5" Socket (2" Spigot) Long Union - 21063-154-000 will be your best options. It can be used with 1-1/2" or 2" pvc pipes.

Hello, I'm currently running a Sta-Rite Supermax 1.5hp pump on my pool at 230v; its is loudly, rapidly dying! Will this Pureline pump be a direct replacement?

Unfortunately, it would not e as you would loosing just under a quarter of a HP in strength, The closest replacement we have at a fair cost is the exact same model PHK2RA6F103L.
