I have a Starite P6E6E-206L Max E Pro standard. I am buying a ECM16SQU replacement motor and GOKIT 79 seal kit. The seal kit includes a shaft seal, but I have a salt chlorination system, so how important is it that I buy an additional generic, heavy duty shaft seal because of salt system? Do I need any other parts to make this new motor work on my Max E Pro? Thanks.

Hi Marc, The saltwater shaft is not extremely important it will just offer you more protection. Aside from the Tune Up Kit you do not need any other parts if the impeller, diffuser etc is in good condition.

After taking impellor housing apart all I had to do was pop out the old shaft seal and bearing and install new. Took maybe 20 minutes. The old seal is merely pushed into the plastic shaft hole. The old shaft bearing was the easiest. Grab ahold of it and just pull
