No this is not the proper filter valve for the S160T. You may view the proper valves here >http://www.inyopools.com/pool_parts_hayward_s_160t_filter.aspx The 4707-0 is the Hayward Original valve and the 4707P is the generic replacement which will work as well.

How do I bleed air for a top mounted Hayward multiport valve? They have no air bleeder valve.

Hayward TOP mounted multiport valves do not require an air bleeder valve. They self purge air in the system through the return lines.

I have a Hayward S-180T model sand filter and my owner's manual states that a SP-711-13 is the proper vari-flo control valve. I do not see this item listed anymore. What do I replace it with?

The SP711-13 which was used on the Hayward S180T has been replaced by the SP0714T listed here on this page.

Broken piece in mount valve

Tried to find brand and number on valve, but too old. Tried several companies without success. Friend recommended DIY. Called and described filter, was told
what part and was set out fast. Love doing business with them.

Water was leaking from the Backwash Port.

Written on 7/22/2019 by Guest

Looked at repairing the valve, but INYO had a replacement valve for nearly the same cost as the repair item. Easily decided to replace the valve. Valve was delivered in timely manner, came as advertised and fit without a problem. Simple and quick replacement.

No mounting clamp or pressure gauge

Written on 7/16/2019 by Guest

I received my Top Mount Valve but before I placed the order I ask the representative if the Top Mount Valve came with the mounting clamp and she assured me that it did, so I ordered it. Come to find out, when I opened the box no clamp or pressure gauge so gave a phone call and they took care of the missing parts.

Once I received all the parts I released the pressure from sand filter unplugged all power and dismounted the Top Mount Valve unscrewed the fittings from old valve (since they were in great condition) and screwed them on to the new valve but add some Teflon tape to all 3 parts for better tightening (just hand tight )

I then wrapped the pressure gauge with Teflon tape and also hand tighten, connected all hoses to the proper outlets and turned on the power and Wala pool is up and going thanks Inyopools for coming through for me. I’d recommend your service to anyone who may want or asked for great replacement parts; Francisco Martinez 👍

Turn off pool pump. Turn valve handle to close. Disconnect hoses to and from valve and place inside pool so not to lose water. Remove valve collar and pull out leaky valve. Replace with new valve and tighten collar braces. Reconnect hoses and turn on pump.

Old valve on my Hayward Sand filter

Written on 7/1/2019 by Guest

Very easy to install. The information included walked me thru it step-by-step beginning with removal of the old valve, the PVC pipes for incoming and outgoing water.

Also ordered a new flange and o-ring so all were new. Installed as per the instructions and diagram, added teflon tape to all the threads (as explained in the instructions) and reinstalled the flange and tightened all screws (hand-tightened).

Ran a test on the filter and had to make some small adjustments to tighten the pipes and it works great, just like new, now.

Sand Filter Valve Leaking Through

Written on 3/31/2019 by Guest

I ordered a new one from Inyo Pools and got it in a few days. With a screwdriver and a pair of pliers, I went to work on the old one. Loosen the clamp that held it in place, took unions loose on piping and pulled in out of sand filter with pipe wrench and removed fittings off the old head. Put fittings on new valve head, put back in sand filter, connected to the unions and put filter back in service. That's it.

Our top mount valve had a crack in it we had a Hayward Vari-Flo XL and replaced it with this one

Written on 5/16/2018 by Guest

We removed the screws on both sides on the bottom we pulled up on it and the white Pole needs to stay in Sand filter so be careful not to pull it up with top valve we put the new one on making sure the white Pole goes inside the open hole on new valve and the hose holes are lined up where they need to be. This part has been compatible just like the customer service stated it would be. Works great no problems.
