What is the Pentair Intellichlor Dummy Cell used for?
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/1/2009 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The Dummy cell is basically a cell with no internal parts, this cell is used during cleaning of the real cell. So when you remove the real cell for cleaning you would put the dummy cell in place of the real cell. After you have finished cleaning the real cell you would remove the dummy cell from the plumbing and place the real cell back in place. You may view or purchase the Dummy Cell here >http://www.inyopools.com/Products/03500001032551.htm

Hello, I just replaced my salt chlorinator with a replacement and I discovered that the scale in front has been installed upside down. So now if I want to read what the green and red lights mean I have to read it upside down, and that doesn't make sence . why did they change this set-up .for this kind of money I would expect a better quality.

Edward, Unfortunately that a common problem that customers have with this system. Other than having to read the control panel upside down customers are very happy with this unit.

Removed old one that was not working. No tools needed as fittings were hand tight. Replaced non working generator with new one. Ran cable to the box and plugged in new generator.

Original iChlor 30 stopped producing chlorine

Written on 3/21/2023 by Guest

1- shut off all power and pulled the breaker
2- unplugged and removed the existing iChlor 30
3- the new IC20 is longer than the iChlor 30, so I marked the pvc pipe to the correct gap and cut the pvc w/ a mini sawzall. I first wrapped tape around the pipe to get a straight cut.
4- deburred the pvc and used pvc cement to attach the provided fittings
5- installed the new IC20, tightened the connections, plugged it into the power supply, turned it on and checked for leaks.
