The Filter Tank Top, Taupe (sx200bt) 4800-05 is for the S200, the filter top for the s240 is Filter Tank Top (sx240b) 4800-05a which is obsolete. Because of the size i doubt the S200 top will fit. I would call Hayward at 908-355-7995 to see if they have a part that will retrofit.

I need to replace the dome on my s200 Hayward sand filter. Do I need to order new gaskets? Would my dome lid fit the replacement dome?

Hi Helene, The I would recommend getting the Hayward S200 O-ring Kit since you're replacing the Top Filter Tank (SX200BT). You can reuse the current Dome Lid.

Is there any difference between the taupe version and ivory version other than color?

Hello, as for 4800-05 I would check the specs for this unit 23.5" L X 23.5" W X 13.5" D, but there isn't any difference from ivory to taupe.

If you are a fairly handy person then it really shouldn't be to hard to replace. As far as the other parts, it will just depend on the condition of them. Over time with chlorine, the sun and pressure some parts do not work very well after such a job like this. Ultimately you may want to inspect.
