Solar Saddle (Set of 5) Review

I like this thing. The saddle isn't the perfect solution, but my wife and I find it much better than dealing with a reel. It broke my heart to drill into my rails, but it was worth it to keep the cover off of the grass. Getting the cover on and off takes about 3-4 minutes, but it's so much easier and cleaner now. I would advice that you actually place the hook brackets 3 or 6" closer together than the directions say. When I set it up per the directions for my 24' pool the edges of the cover sagged and touched the ground. Moved the outer hooks in 6" it was much better.
I think it took about an hour to put all of the hooks in so setup was not difficult.

I purchased these for my 24' round pool. It is great to hold a rolled up cover -- It keeps the cover clean and out of the way. It takes minimal practice in rolling the cover to easily place it in these hooks. I followed the directions for installing but ended up moving two of the hooks closer to the others. Before I was only using 3-4 of the hooks, and now I am using all 5 hooks to hold the cover. I am hoping these hooks last. This is my first summer with them, but I am very pleased with the purchase!
