Product: A.O Smith 2.5 H.P Round Flange Up Rate Replacement Motor

Pros: identical to old pump, had a better SF rating and runs much quieter than the previous pump even when new.

Cons: None

Took about 30 minutes to install and it has run flawlessly since. It is much quieter than the original pump even when it was new.

Pros: Good product

It arrived as it is promised. Installation takes about 1 hour. It is quite easy. After installed, it is running smooth and quite. I am happy with this purchase.

Pros: Awesome fit - excellent replacement

Tip to get the impeller off the old pump moter: use a 7/16" open ended wrench - it slides in near the capacitor on the electrical side... rotate the impeller until the wrench slides into place at the end of the shaft and then one person holds the motor and the wrench while a 2nd person loosens the impeller off with bare hands by turning the impeller counter clock-wise.
