Snap the Kreepy Krauly wings into place. Slip the main body of the Kreepy Krauly onto the wing set and snap the band clamp into place.
Step 2. Attach The Seal
You will have one of two seals for your kreepy krauly pool cleaner. The Pleated seal works with all pools, concrete, vinyl, gunite, and fiberglass. The other type of seal is the the Starfish seal for concrete pools.
Make sure the seal says "This Side Up". Slip the seal over the footpad. Make sure the flat side of the kreepy krauly seal is down and towards the swimming pool floor. Pull gently until the kreepy krauly seal seats itslef on the other side in its groove. You should now be able to rotate the Kreepy Krauly seal freely. We must stress that the contours on the Kreepy Krauly seal must face upward.
Step 3. Attach The Kreepy Krauly Roller Bumper Strap
Insert the bottom end of the strap into the slot provided on the main body. Insert the top end of the strap
into the locking clip attached to the swivel head.
Step 4. Attach The Kreepy Krauly Dive Float Restrictor
Snap the dive float restrictor into the lower U-shaped brace between the dive floats. Make sure the
locking tabs on both sides of the dive float restrictor snap securely into place
Step 5. Attach The Hose Weights And Assemble The Hose
You will need to know how much Kreepy Krauly Cleaner hose you need for your size pool. 40 feet of hose comes with your Kreepy Krauly Cleaner. You will need enough sections to reach from where your Kreepy Krauly cleaner connects to your pool to the farthest point from that connection plus one hose length.
You will also need to add weights to the hose to help neutralize the hose buoyancy in the pool water. The number of hose weights required is determined by the maximum depth of your pool.
- 4' or less = 1 weight - 4" to 12" from the Kreepy Kraulys swivel head.
- 4' - 7' = 2 weights - weight (1) 4" to 12" - weight (2) 6' from the swivel head
- 7' - 12' = 3 weights - weight (1) 4" to 12" - weight (2) 6' - wieght (3) 10' from the swivel head
- 12' = 4 wieghts. - weight(1) 4" to 12" - weight(2) 6' - wieght(3) 10' - weight(4) 12' from the swivel head
Twist and push the female ends onto the
male ends after dipping the ends into the
pool to wet them. Continue
until you’ve connected all the sections you
need. After connecting the hose weights
then
connect the hose to Kreepy Krauly.
One of the hose sections has 2 female ends
and a hose protector. This section should
be fitted last and attached to the pool connection line.
